| | It's time again to travel to Colorado for this year's Colorado Suzuki Institute.
When I left Houston Sunday, it was hot and muggy. It snowed last year during the Colorado Music Camp week, so I packed accordingly.
The plane landed in Denver to chilly temperatures and a gray sky. After boarding the shuttle bus and beginning the two hour commute to Vail / Beaver Creek, the rain changed to snow flurries. But it didn't last - the rain came back again, followed by hail and then more rain.
Definitely not what I was used to in Texas! Actually an interesting and welcome change. I've heard some people complain "Where's our summer? It's not here yet." That's OK though, if they want summer badly enough they can go to Houston.
The first day of camp is always nice - mainly because of reconnecting with colleagues and friends. The 5 guitar faculty will perform 'Spring' from the Vivaldi Four Seasons later on this week at the Vilar Center.
It looks like it will be a fun week of work here.
I just feel badly that my dad is feeling weaker and is getting worse. My family and I are making plans to go and see him. It looks like the soonest we can get there is July. Sometimes it's hard...
